I am excited that Nicola Sturgeon – MSP for Govan, will to be heading up the Scottish Independence debate. The eco-stadium would make a great place to hold debating forums in 2014. The design is democratic at its heart and will stand on the ancient site of Doomster Hill – where the ancient Kings of Strathclyde met to discuss laws and issues of the day. The Kings are thought to have lived across the water in Partick, and would have walked across to Govan at that shallow part of the River Clyde. The river was later made deeper to allow ships to come into the City Centre.
